Alex has more than three decades of experience in direct marketing, advertising, and new media communications in Boston and New York.
Prior to founding B Direct, key agency positions included COO and ECD for Direct Results Group/SourceLink; and VP/CD positions for Berenson, Isham & Partners; Cuneo Sullivan Dolabany; and Redgate Communications.
Over the years, Alex has developed and implemented integrated marketing campaigns for clients such as IBM, Bank of America, Forrester Research, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Polaroid, Target, Sears, Eddie Bauer, Club Med, NYNEX, State Street Bank, Stride Rite, HBO, General Electric, and Chevrolet.
She’s the recipient of dozens of advertising industry awards, including multiple DMA Gold ECHO Awards; the BPME Gold Award for Broadcast Promotion; and the “Best of Show” Silver Microphone award for a jingle package. Alex has judged the ECHOs, the Caples, and numerous regional shows. She was a featured speaker at the DMA’s Annual Conventions in New Orleans and Atlanta. She has also taught at local universities and frequently lectures for various business associations.
A past President of the New England Direct Marketing Association, and author of an acclaimed business book: The New Marketing Conversation, Alex was recognized as New England’s Direct Marketer of the Year in 2008.
When she isn’t working for clients, Alex uses her writing talents as a weekly contributor to the online magazine Women’s Voices for Change, where she covers movie, theatre and television reviews, as well as lifestyle pieces. She’s also the author of Lovin’ the Alien, the book and one-act play based on her popular parenting blog.
An alumna of Tufts University and Hunter College High School, Alex is a native New Yorker. She currently lives in Marblehead, MA with her husband, daughter, and miniature dachshund, Zydeco.

With more than 30 years experience, Walter ensures that the creative product lives up to — and exceeds — client expectations. Over the years, his unique vision and creative direction have contributed to results-driven work for corporate clients like Bell Atlantic, GTE Internetworking, IBM, Progress Software, Gatso, Forrester and TUV America, as well as retail and design clients like Priscilla of Boston, Wolfers Lighting, and Circle Furniture. (Walter also provides B Direct with ongoing cultural education, comic relief, and an endless supply of vintage television trivia.)
Before B Direct, Walter was CD for Direct Results Group/SourceLink. He has also served as Senior AD for Cuneo Sullivan Dolabany where he supervised a busy art department, servicing such clients as Chevrolet, New England Development, Pepsi, and the Boston Cable Co-op. Previous positions included CD at Wilgus Advertising & Design, a Boston-based agency specializing in fashion and retail design, and AD at Noon Advertising where he focused primarily on high tech accounts.
Comfortable in B Direct’s all-media environment, Walter has art directed everything from newspaper ads to direct mail to billboards to websites. He is a self- taught whiz on the Macintosh and has also mastered the art of designing graphics for television and multimedia presentations.

Dave comes to B Direct with 30-plus years of graphic design and layout experience. As Senior Art Director, he focuses on creating publishing pieces, direct mail, and print campaigns from initial concept to final implementation.
Earlier, Dave worked as Senior AD for Boston agency Direct Results Group/SourceLink. While there in 2001, Dave won the prestigious Gold ECHO award in the 3D Direct Mail category. Some of the better-known clients Dave has worked with include Boston Scientific, Capitol Technology University, CyberScout, Kronos, Progress Software, Talbots, and Wolfers Lighting.
Dave is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he began his career as a freelance illustrator under the pen name “Gorde.” While serving as a Graphic Designer for UMASS's Design and Production Services, he also worked independently on illustrations for over 25 business and educational publications.
Following his education, he spent the next eight years at Cahners Publishing Company (later renamed Reed Elsevier) as Art Director for Datamation Magazine, and later as Senior Art Director within their global business division.
In 1987, Dave published Gordy — Hot, Hip, Happenin', and Now!, a compilation of the best comic strips from his UMASS feature, “Gordy” (1984-1987 in The Daily Collegian). “Gordy” has since evolved into “Being Gordy” and is currently in development as a graphic novel. On the side, Dave stays active in the world of comic art. Past pieces have been commissioned for The Wall Street Journal and The Museum of Comic & Cartoon Art. He resides in Natick, MA.
